Embassy Cairo conducts community emergency preparedness activities

The Regional Security Office (RSO) at Embassy Cairo planned and led several emergency preparedness familiarization and training activities throughout February, fostering a whole-of-community approach to the RSO’s overall security strategy. Discussions and presentations focused on RSO security programs, family and personal emergency plans, vehicle and traffic safety, child safety and cybersecurity, family medical plans, emergency supplies, and safe rally areas, as well as embassy radio operations, and go-bag exemplars. Emergency Preparedness Month supports the U.S. National Security Strategy, which identifies building a “culture of preparedness” as a priority action to promote America’s resilience.
